Like the vast majority of us, Aloupas Law has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and we continue to make adjustments that allow us to continue to serve our community and clients. We know we are lucky that we are able to maintain our staff. We are exceptionally grateful for all the people working on the front lines such as doctors, nurses, letter carriers and delivery drivers, food service workers, and grocery employees. We applaud the efforts of the teachers and school administrators, and all the parents who have taken on the additional role of homeschooling their children. We recognize that many in our community have suffered far greater impact and we have sincere empathy for those who have lost their jobs or have seen their own businesses decline. In an effort to give back to the community, Aloupas Law supports the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank and the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia.

Our firm has always used the latest technology and software to allow us to work on your case from anywhere. This has been especially helpful during the pandemic as we have not experienced any disruption in service to our clients or communications with the courts. Although we are still operating under the Supreme Court of Virginia’s judicial emergency order, all courts in Hampton Roads have resumed operations. Each court has its own procedures for setting cases on the docket and how they will be heard. Many courts are using Cisco WebEx or Zoom for virtual hearings while others have returned to conducting hearings in person.

Our Chesapeake office is open from 9:00 a.m. – 2:oo p.m. In an effort to keep our staff safe, we require that anyone coming to the office wear a mask or face covering. We are still conducting all consultations by telephone.
